Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Job Description

The role of the Dental Assistant is to support the dental team by providing the patient with high-quality care by performing a variety of office, laboratory, and patient care duties. This usually entails helping the dentist handle patients, instruments, and supplies during the treatment of the teeth, mouth, and gums.

You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and some dental hygiene tasks.

You are expected to:

· Assist the dentist in procedures

· Ensure sterilization and disinfection of the dental room and premises

· Be willing to learn

· Preparing the treatment room and assisting the dentist during treatment

· Maintaining clinic equipment, instruments and materials in good order

· Having a good standard of infection control

· Performing basic dental laboratory works

· Carrying out reception duties such as patient registration, taking and making telephone calls, making patient appointments, billing and invoicing matters

· Ensure patient comfort at all times

· Must be a RESPONSIBLE Team Player and willing to accept constructive feedback

· Pleasant personality, courteous, caring and attentive to patients and customers

· Expected to work overtime at times

· Handle disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments

· Handle incoming telephone calls and schedule patient appointments

· Handle patient enquiries, patients enquiries and billings to patients

· Handle patient follow-ups and update patient records

· Monitor and maintain inventory of instruments and dental material supplies

Requirements:

· Experience in Dental Assisting is a big plus but not mandatory.

· Mature, positive attitude, team player & cheerful personality.

· Applicants must be willing to work in various locations

· Relevant working experience in the dental industry is an added advantage Eg. Nitec or any equivalent.

· Without experience may apply as training is provided.

· Basic knowledge in using computers

Working Hours:

· 6 days a week

Monday - Friday (10am - 7pm) OR (12pm - 9pm),

Saturday OR Sunday (10am - 5pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,800.00 per month
