SUMMARY
The Digital Platforms Team is seeking the next generation of passionate individuals to assume an active role in driving excellence across Dolby’s digital touchpoints. This internship will focus on maintaining Dolby’s experience databases, which include metadata and assets pertaining to all entertainment and products available in Dolby. Our breakthrough technologies power the world’s top movies, TV shows, music, games, and live sports, across a wider range of consumer experiences and devices. As a key pillar of our digital ecosystem strategy, we aim to ensure consumer audiences know how, when, and where they can have the “Dolby Difference.”
The right person for this role has to demonstrate an ability to think holistically and consider all aspects of the task or responsibility they’ve been given. Collaboration and communication skills are critical, as the team’s success is hinged on our ability to work with internal cross functional teams and outside vendors to achieve our goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Database management:
- Ensure accuracy of all metadata and assets for Dolby enabled devices across a variety of partner OEMs and product category types .
- Ensure accuracy of metadata for partner titles across entertainment categories and service providers.
- Track and review automated data feeds; troubleshoot issues when necessary.
- Identify and propose process efficiencies and ideas for platform enhancements.
- Content Strategy and User Experience :
- Contribute to a shared, actionable vision for the digital team that delivers a seamless user experience across consumer digital touchpoints.
- Champion user needs based on research and analytics
- Participate in CX measurement studies to identify areas of friction and propose and prototype potential solutions .
- Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with category marketing and product marketing stakeholders to understand business and marketing needs .
- Work with regional teams to support content and title localization recommendations.
- Build partnership with IT organization to help facilitate development projects and requests.
- Work with outside vendors to enhance platform capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands on experience building websites and/or publishing content through a CMS
- Understanding and familiarity of web site design principles and database management.
- Basic understanding of software industry standards and development tools (Jira/ GA/ Smartsheets/ Excel)
- A strong commitment to a career in technology and passion/aptitude for both software and information technology
- Demonstrated creative problem solving and proactive learning
- Ability to work in fast paced work environment with rapid and continual changes
- Attention to detail, effective interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), time management, administrative process management and task management skills, and effective reading, writing and research skills are required.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without supervisory reminders. Managing expectations is a key to success.
- A passionate interest in technology, consumer electronics, and entertainment are preferred.
ELIGIBILITY
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Sciences or a related field; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
- Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 9-12 months
- This role will operate out of the Dublin office with oversight and management from Dolby’s HQ in San Francisco (openness to flexible working hours and international travel is a plus) .
- Willingness to travel to other Dolby offices including London and HQ if necessary.
