Roles & Objectives:

As an Intern you will be part of our Digital Engineering Department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A./Philip Morris Italia and will be reporting to the Industrial IoT Engineering Lead. The position will be based in Bologna.

In your role, you will join the Digital Engineering team supporting in managing the designing and Implementing Digital Solutions for data-driven Manufacturing Processes improvements. You will support the design of IoT solutions focusing on customer centric approach.

You will also support the testing and validation of computerized systems and Understand needs & challenges related to digitalization of production processes.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Supporting the deployment of Industry 4.0 data-centric architecture
• Supporting the testing and validation of computerized systems
• Supporting the development and deployment of state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 project within a corporate environment
• Following the development of the application with an external supplier & internal teams
• Practicing agile methodology for project management

Who we’re looking for:

• Studies for a master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communications Systems, Management, Technology and Entrepreneurship or related areas.

• Proactive and good organizational skills.
• Knowledge in Industry 4.0 topics.
• Knowledge in software engineering tools and best practices.
• Experience in data collection, management and analysis.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
