Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to elderly individuals.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and transferring.
- Implement care plans and ensure individualized needs are met.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status.
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community outings as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for individuals in your care.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to think critically.
- Understanding and maintaining confidentiality is necessary.
- Experience in dementia care is a plus.
- Knowledge of taking vital signs is beneficial.
- Experience in assisted living or home care settings is desirable.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to speak and write in English
- Ability to pass background checks
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
