Director, Engineering

Growth Tech’s mission is to build platforms, interfaces, and telco-facing products that accelerate growth for Meta. The team focuses on developing scalable technologies and strategic partnerships that help bring more people online, improve user experiences across Meta’s apps, and unlock new opportunities for engagement and connectivity—especially in emerging markets. We are looking for seasoned engineering leaders to join us in making the world more open and connected. We embrace entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established companies. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation plus a track record of structuring healthy organizations that encourage effective collaborations across multiple disciplines. You’ll influence technical decision making, drive prioritization and execution, while managing outstanding engineers and engineering managers in a fast-paced, impact focused environment.

Director, Engineering Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for leading teams chartered with infrastructure innovations that enable software engineers, research scientists, data scientists, ML engineers to deploy solutions at planet scale and meet Meta’s growing product and business needs
• Build, manage and support diverse teams of software engineers and engineering managers
• Provide both technical and organizational leadership
• Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
• Establish effective strategies and execute against them
• Uphold a culture of respect, integrity, inclusion, innovation
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management

Minimum Qualifications:

• Significant technical industry experience
• Extensive management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate degree preferred
