· Votin.io, a digital voting platform for use by both public and private entities;

· IdMe / Certage, our age-assurance suite designed to support the online protection of minors, which is currently a key issue in Europe and internationally.

We are currently seeking a

Director of Business Development (Europe)

The Role

The Director of Business Development will define Nexial’s commercial strategy in close collaboration with the CEO and will be responsible for executing it end-to-end.

In this role, you will lead growth initiatives from strategy through execution, playing a critical role in accelerating Nexial’s expansion and supporting our ambition to become a leading player across Europe.

As Nexial’s first dedicated commercial hire, you will initially operate as a one-person business development function, with full ownership of go-to-market initiatives. As the company scales, you will have the opportunity to build, structure, and lead the commercial team.

Your commercial effort will be weighted between our product lines as follows: IdMe/Certage -approximately 70% / Votin approximately 30%.

For IdMe / Certage (Age Assurance): You will target online services that must reliably assess or verify age to protect minors and meet regulatory expectations—such as adult content platforms, social networks, gaming and gambling operators where access control and user trust are key.
Votin (Digital Voting): You will focus on organizations that need secure, auditable elections and surveys —such as public administrations and municipalities, large associations and unions, universities and schools, and large corporations running internal governance votes (surveys, employee elections, assemblies).

Responsibilities

Following the definition of the go-to-market strategy, your main responsibilities will include:

· Actively sourcing and reaching out to potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social media;

· Owning and developing direct relationships with executives and key decision-makers;

· Managing the entire sales process end-to-end, from initial contact and qualification to negotiation and closing;

· Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on sales activity, pipeline progress, and results to continuously improve performance;

· Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline data, and providing regular activity and performance reporting;

· Coordinating with product and technical teams for demos, scoping, and smooth handover;

· Subsequently hiring a sales team you will lead.

Requirements

· 5+ years of experience in business development for B2B services;

· Master’s degree;

· Proven track record in generating new business, building pipelines, and closing deals;

· Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and autonomy;

· Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken);

· Strong curiosity for technology and the ability to quickly understand product value.

Nice to Have

· Knowledge of French or other European languages;

· Exposure to regulated industries (identity, compliance, security, public sector);

· Experience selling SaaS products;

· Previous experience in a startup environment;

What We Offer

· Base salary between EUR 50–70k yearly (based on experience) plus uncapped performance-based bonus;

Pay: €50,000.00-€70,000.00 per month
