Director Of Engineering

The Director of Engineering will lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 40+ professionals, including electrical and mechanical engineers. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The Director will collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain and product development teams to align engineering strategies with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering department.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Develop and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Partner with crossfunctional teams (operations, supply chain, R&D) to support business goals.
• Drive adoption of best practices in design, testing, and documentation.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and product performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of related engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Manager or higher).
• Proven track record managing large teams (30+ engineers) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Preferred: Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (UL, ISO, etc.).
