Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, risk analysis, and investment management. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth plans.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and month-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards such as IAS (International Accounting Standards), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements for government agencies and ensure adherence to legal and financial regulations.
- Direct treasury management activities, including cash flow analysis, investment management, and cost control initiatives.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial threats and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret complex data for executive decision-making, and communicate insights effectively.
- Oversee budgeting processes, forecast financial performance, and implement cost management strategies to maximize profitability.
- Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate financial statement preparation and compliance.
- Supervise finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development in areas such as technical accounting and bookkeeping.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles with a strong background in corporate finance, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of IAS, IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory frameworks governing financial reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management, risk analysis, and compliance management within complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of treasury management practices including cash flow analysis, investment strategies, and cost control measures.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and tools used for balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements such as profit & loss statements and balance sheets accurately.
- Excellent leadership qualities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams focused on strategic planning and financial management.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels; adept at financial report writing and interpretation.
- Strong technical skills in accrual accounting, cost accounting, revenue management under ASC 606 standards, and public accounting practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.
