Job Summary: The Director of Operations will be responsible for the overall operations, growth, development, and success of AAMG. In this high-visibility role, you will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate development and long-term success.

Qualifications and Experience:

Preferred:

  • MHA, MBA, or MS in Health Administration or Business Administration
  • Professional development courses in healthcare management

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, healthcare administration, BSN-RN, or similar discipline required. Extensive multi-discipline healthcare experience may be considered.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the health care services industry with a superior record of growth.
  • Well-rounded management experience in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of practice management software, EHR (EPIC strongly preferred) . Emphasis on Front office/ Back office/ scheduling modules.
  • Solid understanding of patient flow in a medical practice, from scheduling to appointment end.
  • Proven track record in developing high performing management teams
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare staffing, workflow of front and back offices
  • Ability to assess problems quickly, take action decisively and achieve positive results consistently
  • Confident and steady under pressure, with an ability to maintain an appropriate balance between delegating and taking charge
  • Ability to manage in a complex environment involving multiple departments
  • Strong motivation to carry out Practice objectives and build a successful organization

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operations – Coordinate Practice operating divisions (Administrative, Back office, Front office) to successfully see patients from the point of new patient appointment to completion of treatment. Safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate development and long-term success.

  • Leadership – Provide overall leadership to ensure all team members have a clear sense of their role, and know the expected results.
    • Responsible for helping to achieve positive patient experience at the practice
    • Assist in implementing AAMG management initiatives at the practice
    • Develop and implement operational guidelines that support and advance the practice goals and objectives for growth, profitability, and reputation
    • Develop and implement quantitative and qualitative assessments of operations that identify strengths and weaknesses in a timely manner that provide the Practice with the capability of responding to market pressures in a proactive manner

  • Marketing and Business Development – Participate in business development and marketing efforts to support practice growth.

  • Coordinate website changes and ensure that website is adequately updated
  • Represent AAMG with other associate practices, professional and community groups
  • Keep abreast of trends in healthcare
  • Strategic Planning – work with Partners and Managers to develop and execute the strategic plan.
  • Ensure alignment with practice goals, prepare reports and data-driven insights, and lead specific initiatives.

  • Human Resources – Work with HR Management to develop staffing profile for all AAMG offices.
    • Collaborate on initiatives to foster a supportive workplace environment.
    • Support division leads in handling challenging staffing situations effectively.

  • Participate in the training of new employees, and offer guidance, assistance and direction to less experienced personnel. Acts as a mentor to students and other staff members and views that staff as extension of themselves.
  • Assist in professional development of team members by participating in peer review process when asked.
  • Communicate appropriately to team members based on patient needs and clinical abilities of staff.
