The Operations Director/Pastor is a transformational leader who orchestrates the vital central functions of our church, catalyzing life change and propelling our mission forward through strategic operational excellence. This role goes beyond management, serving as the architect of our church's operational future and a key driver of our spiritual impact.
Areas of Oversight and Influence
- Human Resources: Cultivating a Christ-centered culture of growth and empowerment
- Finance, Budgeting, Accounting, and Generosity: Stewarding resources for maximum kingdom impact
- Facilities, Expansion Efforts, and Echo Executive Center: Creating spaces, revenue, and opportunities for ministry growth
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nurture and Empower
- Provide spiritual care, support, and coaching to staff and key volunteers, fostering unity and purpose
- Develop high-level volunteers, equipping them for impactful service in the operations realm
Innovate and Implement
- Design and deploy systems, structures, and strategies that keep our staff laser-focused on our mission
- Ensure operational accountability, financial wisdom, and simplicity that fuels rather than hinders ministry
Collaborate and Cast Vision
In partnership with the Lead Pastor and Directional Leadership team:
- Cast compelling vision for all operations teams, aligning with our church's God-given objectives
- Offer data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions
- Safeguard our integrity and efficiency, creating financial margin for future kingdom expansion
Lead with Excellence
- Continuously refine and improve the operational functions, systems, and processes of the church
- Set and achieve ambitious goals, providing resources and removing obstacles for team success
- Anticipate future needs and proactively position the church for growth and increased impact
Risk Management and Stewardship
- Monitor and enhance risk management policies and procedures to minimize program and organizational risks
- Provide expert counsel to church leadership on appropriate insurance coverage for the organization and the Board of Directors
- Develop and implement strategies to protect the church's assets, reputation, and mission
Additional Duties
Remain flexible and responsive to the Holy Spirit's leading and the needs of the ministry
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Pastor, always with an eye toward advancing our mission
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Commerce, or Business Management/Administration, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Highly skilled in organizational and interpersonal leadership Basic Knowledge of federal and state legislation affecting non-profit organizations
Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:
- Word processing / Databases/ Spreadsheets
- Google Suite

- Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

Experience
5+ years of leadership and/or business experience
Optional Housing Allowance
The director is eligible for housing allowance if they agree to meet the basic requirements of a minister at the church. Echo.Church ministerial duties of all commissioned, licensed, and ordained ministers include:
- Praying and giving spiritual advice to others
- Leading others to worship by helping them serve with their gifts
- Teaching and leading Life Groups
- Sharing the Gospel message with clarity
- Teaching, instructing, or organizing religious initiatives
- Performing baptisms, serving communion, performing wedding ceremonies and funerals.
