Role Summary

The Director of Operations will lead WestLink’s operational strategy, execution, and governance. This senior leader will oversee core business processes, manage performance metrics, and guide teams in delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes across multiple operational domains.

The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on leadership capabilities — someone who can balance transformation with discipline, and who brings a consulting mindset, analytical rigor, and strong communication skills to drive results.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute WestLink’s operational roadmap in alignment with company goals, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate operational KPIs and performance dashboards; leverage data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Drive operational transformation initiatives — integrating automation, analytics, and best practices across business functions.
  • Manage operational budgets and P&L accountability; oversee cost management and performance optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with functional heads (Finance, HR, Technology, Delivery) to ensure operational alignment with company strategy.

Audit & Review Management

  • Own and oversee up to 10 concurrent operational audits across departments and business units.
  • Lead audit kickoffs, midpoint reviews, and 90-day follow-ups, ensuring each engagement maintains compliance, accuracy, and actionable outcomes.
  • Review analyst findings and synthesize insights for leadership, identifying trends and recommending corrective or improvement actions.
  • Deliver CFO-level presentations and reports summarizing operational audit outcomes, risk areas, and improvement plans.
  • Track and report overall LER/OER (Labor Efficiency Ratio / Operational Efficiency Ratio) portfolio metrics, highlighting performance trends and efficiency improvements.

People, Process & Performance

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Oversee vendor and partner management, ensuring strong collaboration and service delivery quality.
  • Champion governance, compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine business processes for greater agility, scalability, and quality.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive adoption of digital tools, data visualization, and automation platforms to elevate operational insight and efficiency.
  • Introduce BI (Business Intelligence) frameworks and dashboards to enhance transparency and performance tracking.
  • Stay ahead of emerging operational technologies and methodologies to maintain WestLink’s competitive edge.

Qualifications & SkillsRequired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in operations management or business operations leadership, including 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Proven ability to design and execute operational strategies, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams to measurable success.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with expertise in KPI development and operational reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills — able to influence across all levels, including executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading audits, performance reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Familiarity with operational systems (ERP, CRM, BI tools) and process automation.
  • Consulting background — experience in professional services, digital consulting, or transformation environments.
  • Excel and BI literacy — ability to interpret and build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that inform decision-making.
  • Strong presentation skills (“presentation chops”) — able to clearly communicate operational insights and recommendations to C-suite audiences.
  • Strategic and execution-oriented mindset, with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Preferred:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Certifications in process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP).
  • Global or multi-region operations leadership experience.
  • Hands-on experience with LER/OER frameworks or efficiency ratio tracking.
  • Proven track record managing concurrent audits, process reviews, or compliance programs.
