Position Overview
As the Director of Project Delivery, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of multiple large-scale industrial construction projects, valued between $30M and $100M. You will oversee project teams, liaise with clients and consultants, and ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will require deep expertise in general contracting and construction management, as well as the ability to lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of new build construction projects, with a primary focus on light industrial and temperature-controlled facilities.
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from planning and pre-construction to execution and close-out.
Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of project managers, coordinators, and site staff.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Negotiate and manage key contracts, change orders, and project deliverables.
Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Represent the company in local industry associations and networking events to maintain and grow relationships in the market.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
10+ years of progressive experience in project and construction management within the industrial construction sector.
Direct experience working in General Contracting and/or Construction Management environments.
A proven track record of delivering large-scale industrial construction projects between $30M and $100M in scope.
Deep understanding of local construction market dynamics and a strong professional network in the Oakville/Burlington and Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse project teams.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in construction software and project management tools.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of construction contracts, risk management, and safety protocols.
