Disability Support Worker

Key Responsibilities
1. Participant Support
- Provide direct support to participants in areas including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
- Assist participants in accessing the community, attending appointments, and engaging in social, recreational, and employment activities.
- Promote participant independence and capacity building through skill development.
2. Person-Centered Approach
- Develop and maintain respectful and professional relationships with participants and their families.
- Follow individual support plans, behavior management plans, and goals outlined in NDIS plans.
- Monitor and report changes in participants’ needs or circumstances.
3. Compliance and Reporting
- Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents in line with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct and Safeguarding requirements.
- Support participants in managing risks and ensure a safe environment.
4. Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the Team Leader and other support workers to provide consistent and reliable services.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding participant progress and any challenges faced.

Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Required)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Required)
