Support Worker – NDIS & Aged Care

Home Caring Mill Park is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS and Aged Care services across northern Melbourne.

Work locations : Mildura

We are seeking Support Workers to assist with the provision of high-quality exceptional care to a range of fantastic clients and participants currently engaged.

There is scope for our support staff to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients or a mix of both.

Main responsibilities and activities may include:

• Assistance with care in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility)
• Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments (own vehicle essential)
• Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
• Assistance with medications
• Light administrative duties (record maintenance, reporting)

Requirements

• A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
• Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
• Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (a bonus - not a requirement)
• Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centered focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
• A sense of humor (another bonus - not a requirement)
• Resilience and compassion
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
• Current First Aid certificate
• Current CPR certificate
• Current National Police check
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
• The right to work in Australia
• Full Covid-19 vaccination
• Different cultural backgrounds welcome, but not necessary

• Evening shift
• Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Mildura, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Working with Children Check (Preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Preferred)
• National Police Certificate (Preferred)
• Driver Licence (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Preferred)
