Disability Support Worker - Female

We are seeking a female support worker who has experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabiltiies and behaviors of concern. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to person-centered care, exceptional communication skills, flexible, and a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment. As a Support Worker at Nineveh Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing tailored support and fostering independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domestic Assistance: Perform tasks such as housework, laundry, and meal preparation to ensure a comfortable and well-maintained living environment for clients.
  • Community Participation: Transport clients to shopping, medical appointments, social activities, and other community engagements as needed.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and other daily living activities, respecting their dignity and preferences.
  • Engage in Social activities: Work with the client to help them build independence, be their friend, and help them to engage in their hobbies.

Essential Criteria:

  • NDIS Worker Check
  • National Police Check (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid + CPR Certificate
  • Valid Working Rights in Australia
  • Current Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the disability support sector

Job Type: Subcontract

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 15 per week

Experience:

  • NDIS: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Working with Children Check (Required)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required)
  • National Police Certificate (Required)
  • Driver Licence (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
