Dispatcher

Leading Transportation Company has an immediate opening for a Dispatcher to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Job Description:

• Energetic, results-focused traffic coordinator for busy dispatch office.
• Experience in compiling data to maximize resources.
• Organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time deliveries.
• Extensive interaction with drivers.

• High customer contact via email and websites.
• Flexible scheduling necessary to cover 24/7 operation.

Requirements:

• 2 + year computerized dispatch/logistics experience.
• Self-motivated individual with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure.
• Strong computer skills including data entry.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Geographic knowledge of multi-state Midwest region.
• Steel industry experience desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
