Fetching Forever, Vancouver's premier boutique dog groomer and daycare facility located in the amazing Cambie Village, is searching for a Master Groomer to complete our elite three-member grooming team. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly selective studio alongside our esteemed groom team, including the icnredible Kaori, and contribute your signature artistry to Vancouver’s most distinguished clientele.

Your expertise is crucial to maintaining our reputation for uncompromising quality and health-focused, high-fashion styling in the Vancouver market.

Role Profile: Uncompromising Standards
Schedule Requirements: Must be available to work the peak schedule: Thursday through Sunday.
Compensation Highly competitive compensation package for the right applicant, based on experience and portfolio. Structure will be determined as Commission or Hourly w bonus.
Relocation A substantial one-time relocation package will be offered for qualified candidates applying from outside of British Columbia.

Specialized Artistry Requirement (Non-Negotiable)

• Mastery in Asian Styling: We require demonstrated expertise and mastery in advanced Asian-style grooming techniques, precision scissor work, and creative contouring, evidenced through training and certification at a reputable, recognized school specializing in Asian Grooming Styles or equivalent high-level apprenticeship for 2+ years minimum.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

As a crucial pillar of our grooming studio, you will execute a luxury service focused on individualized care and aesthetic excellence. While our client base includes many challenging, high-volume coats (Doodles), your artistry will extend across all demanding breeds.

• Signature Service: Provide comprehensive, one-on-one grooming services (bathing, styling, coat contouring) without the use of cage-drying.
• Aesthetic & Health Assessment: Conduct meticulous assessments of coat and skin health to determine the optimal grooming approach, length of groom, and specialized treatment required, such as Nagyu or other special services.
• Client Consultation: Provide exceptional client consultation, translating owner desires into achievable, high-fashion grooming styles that set the standard for discerning guests.
• Studio Integrity: Adhere to uncompromising standards of hygiene, maintaining and sanitizing all tools and the grooming suite meticulously after each client.
• Professional Growth: Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, proactively staying abreast of global grooming trends, and contributing positively to the collective skill set of our Master Groomer team.

Candidate Requirements

• Elite Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of continuous, high-volume professional grooming experience.
• Portfolio Verification: A world-class portfolio of cuts (digital gallery, active Instagram, or equivalent) is mandatory for application review.
• Physical Demands: Capacity to handle the physical demands associated with grooming large and heavy breeds.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal professionalism required for detailed client consultations and seamless integration with our team.
