Duct Fabricator

Core Responsibilities

• Fabrication: Measuring, cutting, bending, and shaping galvanized steel, aluminum, or other materials in a workshop or on-site.
• Assembly: Joining components using rivets, welds, bolts, cement, or solder.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpreting HVAC layouts and technical drawings to create precise duct components.
• Tool Operation: Utilizing machinery like CNC machines, shears, press brakes, and drills.
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for accuracy, proper fit, and alignment.
• Installation Prep: Marking, labeling, and organizing components for installation. Caribbean Jobs +7

Key Requirements & Skills

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and HVAC system knowledge.
• Tools: Experience with hand and power tools (e.g., tin snips, plasma cutters, grinders).
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied environments.
• Math & Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Experience: Often requires 1–2+ years of experience in HVAC fabrication or a related field.
