Job description
Founded in 2002, ShannonDoc continues to deliver a high standard of urgent out-of-hours family doctor service to patients in the Midwest over the last 20 years.
Due to the continued development of the organisation and to ensure a sustainable service is available to our patients, member GPs and the HSE; ShannonDoc is looking for candidates who have strong organisational and communication skills. This new role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of the management team in the effective running of the central call centre and lead our developments in the service in a manner which will contribute positively and secure the delivery of the service, its future direction and growth.
The Role
The Duty Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day operational management of Shannondoc, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, service delivery, and staff support are maintained at all times.
In addition to overseeing Central Call Centre operations, the Duty Manager will also provide operational supervision and support to Driver, Resource Staff and Treatment Centre staff, ensuring coordinated, safe, and efficient service delivery across all operational areas during their shift.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in an office, call centre, healthcare, or medical environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience supervising multi-site or multidisciplinary teams (including remote or mobile staff) is desirable.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience working in an out-of-hours or 24/7 operational setting (desirable).
- Diligence, accuracy and strong attention to detail required.
- Strong problem solving, decision-making ability
- Ability to take control and to be calm in stressful situations.
- Must possess critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Maintains the organisation’s strict code of confidentiality in all dealings.
