The Opportunity: Duty Manager

We are seeking a full-time permanent Duty Manager (minimum 30 hours per week) to join our team at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs.

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day front of house operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered across all guest touchpoints. You will work closely with the Lodge Management team and play a key role in coordinating guest services, supporting restaurant operations, and leading service teams to deliver unforgettable luxury guest experiences.

This position is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, engaging with guests, and ensuring seamless lodge operations in a luxury environment.

What You Will Do:
*

Ensure guests are warmly welcomed and provided with a personalized orientation of lodge facilities and services
*

Maintain exceptional guest engagement and anticipate guest needs throughout their stay
*

Support Food & Beverage operations and assist with service where required
*

Coordinate guest movements and communicate effectively with internal departments
*

Assist Lodge Management with daily operations and service leadership
*

Support staff training, team communication, and service briefings
*

Maintain high service standards across front of house operations
*

Assist with administrative responsibilities including reporting and rostering support
*

Represent hotel management and make operational decisions when senior leadership are not present

What You Will Bring:
*

3+ years’ experience in hospitality, ideally within luxury hotels, resorts, or lodges
*

Proven leadership experience in front-of-house or food & beverage operations
*

Exceptional communication skills and confident guest engagement
*

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
*

Professional presentation and attention to detail
*

Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and public holidays
*

A collaborative approach and the ability to support and motivate teams
