Duty Manager

Curry Caffe is seeking a reliable and experienced Restaurant Duty Manager to join our team in Oakura, New Plymouth.

This is a permanent position offering 33 hours or more per week, with pay depending on experience and previous work roles.

Duties include

• Managing day-to-day restaurant and café operations
• Supervising staff and supporting team performance
• Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
• Opening and closing the business
• Handling customer concerns in a professional manner
• Coordinating shifts and staff workflow
• Monitoring hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety standards
• Assisting with cash handling, EFTPOS, and reconciliation
• Supporting stock ordering and general operational tasks

Requirements

• Previous hospitality, café, or restaurant management experience preferred
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and well-presented
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Manager’s Certificate preferred but not essential
