Duty Manager

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic hospitality professional ready to take the next step in your career? Future Hospitality Group is seeking motivated and reliable Duty Managers to join our team across several of our iconic venues in Queenstown, including Margo’s, Little Blackwood, Little Mez, Minus 5° ICE BAR, Queenstown Ice Bar, and Miss Rita's Cantina.

As a Duty Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day operations during your shift, ensuring smooth service, exceptional guest experiences, and that operational standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll support in managing the team, maintain service quality, and support senior management.


Your Role:

  • Supervise the operations of the venue during your shift, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the team, fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service, resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the training and development of team members.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage stock levels, handle cash-ups, and assist with administrative duties.
  • Ensure the venue’s appearance and cleanliness are maintained to the highest standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in hospitality, such as Shift Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences and a positive work environment.
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Current LCQ and Duty Manager certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
