Duty Manager/Checkout Manager

Four Square Wainui Rd is looking for an experienced, motivated individual to join the team as a Duty Manager/Checkout Manager.

Four Square Wainui Rd is your local fresh grocery store. Out store offers barista coffee, Food to go, from essential groceries range to Fresh Butchery and Produce.

Role Overview: As a Duty Manager/Checkout Manager, you will be the key leader in the store when Store Owner or Operations Managers are absent. Your mission is to ensure an exceptional shopping experience, and the smooth operation of the store. This includes overseeing security, service excellence, and productivity. Grocery retail experience is must for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Inspire: Motivate and guide team members to achieve their best.
• Ensure Optimal Performance: Oversee Retail area to ensure the store runs efficiently.
• Champion Customer Service: Maintain high standards of service and professional staff conduct.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Ensure a secure and safe workplace for all.
• Resolve Customer Issues: Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain Store Appearance: Regularly circulate the floor to ensure an inviting shopping experience.
• Uphold Merchandising Standards: Ensure attractive and consistent product displays.

The ideal candidate will provide great customer service and will have a current LCQ, and Duty Manager Certificate. Experience in Grocery sector with managing staff, and a can-do attitude is must. This role will also be responsible for covering team members while they are on leave too so this role needs someone who is flexible in terms of days of work and can work in different areas of the store if and as required.

Please note: A reasonable level of physical fitness is required, and some heavy lifting is involved.
