E-Commerce Operations & Marketing Assistant (Part-Time Or Full-Time)

The Role

This is a hands-on position at the centre of our e-commerce operations. You will assist with pricing strategy, manage online product listings, engage with customers, and help drive marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including social media.

In this role, your responsibilities will be split between client work and supporting our internal e-commerce business operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in technology and gaming, understands online retail dynamics, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce & Sales Support

  • Research competitor pricing across websites and marketplaces, and report insights
  • Create and optimise product listings in Shopify
  • Monitor and maintain marketplace listings (eBay, Amazon, Reebelo, and Kogan)
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries across all channels
  • Prepare customer invoices as required
  • Process and record all sales in Xero

Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Create and schedule social media content (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Research trending products in consumer electronics and gaming
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns
  • Prepare and send customer newsletters
  • Support initiatives to grow direct website sales

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
  • Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Social media management or content creation experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to research and analyse pricing data
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working in a small, growth-focused remote team

Highly Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience selling on marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, Catch, etc.)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar)
  • Email marketing experience (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc.)
  • Understanding of refurbished or recommerce products
