Electronic Calibration Technician

Mid-South Calibration is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory that has been operating in the Mid-South for over a decade. We are seeking one dedicated and skilled Electronic Calibration Technician to join our team. This roles is crucial in maintaining our commitment to precision and quality service.

We are looking to fill one specialized positions focusing on the calibration of Electrical Test Equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration and maintenance of electrical equipment sent to us by clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and our accreditation requirements.
  • Utilize technical skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new techniques, concepts, and procedures relevant to calibration and measurement science.
  • Maintain clear and precise calibration records, adhering to quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with our team of technicians and engineers to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering technical support and guidance to clients as needed.
  • Occasionally travel (using the company vehicle) up to 2 hours away* to perform on-site calibration work at clients facilities.

Qualifications:

  • --2-year Associates Degree in a technical field,* 4-year Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or 2-4 years of relatable technical experience is REQUIRED.-- *
  • This position is NOT entry level.
  • Technical mindset with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new concepts and procedures.
  • Prior experience as a calibration technician is preferred.
  • Prior experience working as an electrical equipment operator or related field is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet monthly deadlines and financial goals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to undergo training to meet the standards of our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy and quality in all tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
