O te turanga - About the role

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of investigation, assessment, inspection, policy development and enforcement-related activities effectively identifying and managing risks. You will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching Technical Officers. We have two permanent vacancies, preferred locations, Auckland and Wellington, other locations will be considered.

Ko tou ake mahi - What You'll Do:

• Mentor and coach
• Investigate accidents
• Audits on appliances, fittings, installations and networks
• Educate and engage with stakeholders
• Review and create technical reports
• Enforcement of the electricity and gas legislation

Ko nga pukenga ou - What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience in coaching
• Experience in a senior technical capacity within a relevant organisation
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks
• Ability to write technical reports
• Past or current Electrical Practicing (Inspector), and/or Gasfitter Licence (Certifying) (advantageous)
• Experience with emerging uses of electricity or distributed generation and supply (advantageous)
• A deep understanding of Health and Safety systems

Awhe utu - Salary range

The full salary range for the position is from $117,451 to $155,228. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
