Engineering Cad Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years' industry experience in Ireland or the UK, along with strong technical expertise and proficiency in industry-standard CAD applications. A solid understanding of current building regulations and a practical, detail-oriented approach are essential.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience using AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks and/or Solid Edge in a construction or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with industrial and manufacturing projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and current building regulations.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Experience with BIM/Revit or CREO Direct/Layout software is an advantage, but not essential.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver high-quality design outputs using CREO Direct (non-parametric 3D modelling) and CREO Layout (2D CAD for plant layouts).
• Collaborate closely with site engineers and the wider design team from project inception through to completion.
• Support the preparation of detailed technical drawings and layouts in line with project requirements.
