Engineering Manager

• Risk Management – Investigate and report accidents/incidents, implement remedial actions to prevent recurrence using QIC Marsh Manual
• Contractor Inductions – Ensure all contractors provide risk management plans and safe work method statements before starting work
• Staff Inductions – Conduct both JLL/QIC generic and site-specific inductions for all contractors and staff working onsite
• Work Place Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure all operations and maintenance conform to WHS legislation requirements
• Security Supervision – Oversee security contractors and maintain safe environment for customers, contractors and staff
• Property Access Control – Monitor property key registers and manage site security protocols
• Cleaning Supervision – Supervise cleaning staff through daily inspections and weekly documented reviews with contractor and tenant representatives
• Quality Standards Enforcement – Issue written rectification notices when cleaning or maintenance standards are not met
• Preventive Maintenance – Ensure building systems, plant, equipment and surfaces are serviced according to manufacturer specifications
• Hands-on Maintenance – Perform minor maintenance and cleaning tasks as required to maintain property standards
• Financial Management – Conduct monthly forecasting and review purchase orders for budget control
• Contractor Management – Verify insurance requirements, ensure Work Safe compliance, and hold monthly meetings with key service providers
• Contract Tendering – Assist Senior Engineering Manager with re-tendering service agreements using QIC contracts and JLL specifications
• Tenancy Fitout Support – Assist in assessing and approving tenant fitout proposals
• Professional Development – Attend required meetings, training seminars and conferences
• IT Proficiency – Demonstrate intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Office programs and smartphone applications

What you will bring:

• You will have a proven background in building services & operations and it is preferred you have a trade certificate in electrical or mechanical.

• You’ll have a good understanding of building systems including familiarity with building services software system as well as knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and requirements

• You enjoy working efffectively as part of a small committed and multi-disciplinary team and are willing to make a personal commitment to the property, and in doing so, acknowledges that the job is not 9 to 5 and requires responsibility being taken to ensure the matter at hand is dealt with efficiently

• Excellent communication skills are important– both written and spoken

• You can work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines
