About the Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will bring strong technical expertise and hands-on engagement to guide the evolution of our frontend architecture and data visualization systems. You will maintain a close connection to the codebase, actively writing and reviewing TypeScript and React, while empowering your team to remove obstacles and align priorities with customer needs. What you’ll do

Hands-On Technical Leadership: Actively contribute to the codebase. Guide the design and implementation of highly scalable systems in TypeScript and React, and participate in code reviews to maintain high quality.

Complex Data Visualization: Architect and build solutions that process, render, and visualize massive datasets, ensuring a seamless and performant user experience.

Team Enablement: Lead a team of engineers, providing clarity and direction to maintain a predictable, sustainable workflow.

Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Product and Design to connect engineering work to commercial impact and customer goals.

Cultural Contribution: Foster a team culture of trust, technical excellence, learning, and continuous improvement.

On a typical day, you will

Review a critical architectural approach for rendering large graphs, write or review complex React components, mentor engineers on their growth trajectory, and collaborate with Product Managers to ruthlessly prioritize the roadmap against technical debt.

Who you are

The Experience: You have a proven track record in engineering leadership, ideally within a high-growth SaaS environment, coupled with deep experience building complex frontend applications.

The Technical Chops: You are highly proficient in TypeScript and React. You have battle-tested experience working with advanced data visualization libraries (yFiles, D3, etc.) and know how to optimize systems that process and display large volumes of data.

The Mindset: You are action-oriented and comfortable making decisive moves even when information is incomplete.

The Tools: You are tech-savvy and fluent in leveraging modern AI tools to enhance team performance and engineering velocity.

The Communicator: You can translate complex technical debt, such as rendering bottlenecks or state management issues, into clear business risks for stakeholders.
