Description of Work:
The Engineering Technician and Integrator provides hands-on technical support for system sustainment, installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and validation activities for the Navigation Training Systems Lab (NTSL). The individual executes install-by-batch procedures, supports acceptance testing, and assists with discrepancy resolution to ensure NTSL systems are installed, operational, and compliant with technical and contractual requirements.

Additionally, they provide hands-on technical support for system sustainment, installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and validation activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on installation and integration of NTSL systems in accordance with approved procedures
  • Execute install-by-batch activities to support efficient and repeatable system deployments
  • Support system configuration activities under direction of engineering leadership
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of hardware and system components
  • Support sustainment and maintenance activities to ensure system availability and performance
  • Assist with replacement of defective or end-of-life components as required
  • Support system testing, validation, and acceptance activities
  • Assist with preparation and execution of acceptance test procedures
  • Document test results and support resolution of discrepancies identified during testing
  • Assist with identification, tracking, and resolution of system discrepancies
  • Support corrective actions under direction of engineering leadership
  • Document installation activities, repairs, test results, and discrepancy resolutions
  • Coordinate activities with Engineering Lead, system administrator, and other technical staff
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and on-site engineering activities as required
  • Provide hands-on technical support during mobilization, upgrades, and sustainment efforts
  • Comply with all personnel security, background investigation, and credentialing requirements
  • Adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements and safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Follow Government policies for access to DoD installations, systems, and sensitive environments

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of technical or engineering support experience for DoD or Federal systems
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical discipline; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education where permitted
  • Demonstrated experience performing system installation, testing, and troubleshooting, repair, and testing activities
