English Language Tutor (Esol)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students across various age groups. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs. Duties

• Deliver customised tutoring sessions across a range of subjects, adapting teaching methods

• Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement to develop effective learning plans
• Support students with special educational needs by implementing tailored strategies and resources
• Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
• Monitor progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians
• Maintain organised records of session content, attendance, and progress reports
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support for each learner
• Stay informed about curriculum changes and educational best practices to continually enhance tutoring effectiveness

Experience

• At least one year experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable
• Experience with children who have special educational needs is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Prior experience in education or related fields will be considered an asset but is not essential for all roles
• A genuine passion for education and supporting learners’ development is essential

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited and reputable university

* Minimum 2 - 5 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience

* Strong communication, instructional planning, and classroom management abilities

Job Type: Contract
