The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability, this role will see you help deliver the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering function for the Phosphate Hill and Mount Isa operations. You will ensure electrical safety compliance, asset reliability and integrity, while providing strong technical leadership and developing engineering capability across the business.
You will lead a team to deliver and personally contribute to:
Leading electrical, instrumentation and control system reliability and integrity
Ensuring compliance with electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards and company HSE requirements
Ownership of Electrical Safety, Functional Safety Management (FSM) and EEHA assurance
Developing and implementing effective maintenance and reliability strategies
Leading incident investigations, RCA and reliability improvement initiatives
Coaching, developing and leading a specialist EIC engineering team
Supporting capital planning, turnarounds and project execution
What you’ll bring
Ideally you will have proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with leadership experience. Other desirable skills and experience include:
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Degree‑qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Strong experience in EIC engineering within heavy industry or manufacturing environments
Proven leadership experience within engineering or technical teams
Sound knowledge of electrical safety legislation, Australian Standards and asset reliability
Experience with reliability engineering, RCA and maintenance strategy development
RPEQ or CPEng or NPER (or eligibility to obtain) highly regarded
