About the company

Timely and SalonBiz serve over 30,000 customers in 100 countries and are on a mission to build the leading platform for beauty professionals. Together we make up EverWell, an EverCommerce vertical. Between us, we offer SaaS solutions to customers of varying sizes and stages, serving different customer profiles within the beauty industry. We’re part of the wider EverCommerce ecosystem and exist to simplify and empower the lives of business owners. We’ve got big goals and we’re ready to achieve them.

This is where you come in!

The core purpose of the Quality Engineer role is to champion quality processes throughout our software development lifecycle (SDLC). You’ll champion and coach product management, software engineers and others on the best approaches to get a strong confidence in the quality of software that Timely releases. You’ll also help build and maintain automated test suites that allow this confidence to be garnered at rapid intervals. You’ll be a core part of our collective goal to maintain a high level of confidence from our customers in the software they use, ensure our customers can maintain business continuity, and ensure we can continue to innovate and delight our customers.

This role will be heavily involved in influencing the testing lifecycle of our product and upskilling the entire team into how to deliver performant, high quality software.

What you'll bring.

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Software Engineer in Test, working closely with development teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to shift quality left by influencing design and development practices.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Unit testing

  • Integration testing

  • End-to-end automated testing

  • Ability to work with engineers to write, review, and improve tests (not just define them)

  • Strong understanding of the test pyramid and when to apply each test type

  • Experience identifying and mitigating quality risk in complex systems

  • Clear, confident communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution

  • Familiarity with test data management and test environments

  • Experience reducing flaky tests and improving pipeline reliability

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet ~60% of criteria, women and those in underrepresented groups tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes but don't meet every single bullet point above, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

Why join us?

We set a high bar and support our team to innovate and focus on continuous growth. You’ll enjoy a professional development budget to fuel your growth, and an annual wellness allowance to fund the things that support your wellbeing.
