Experienced Accounts Assistant

The Michael Moore Car Sales Group are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant at their Athlone Branch. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Supervisor, this role involves assisting with various finance functions, including but not limited to day-to-day processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, GRN matching, daily processing and reconciliations of receipts from After-Sales Department, reconciliations and other ad-hoc duties within the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and integrity of postings in line with company policies and procedures;
• Ensuring correct invoice/GRN/PO matching and investigating and resolving any variances;
• Dealing with customer & supplier queries in a timely manner;
• Preparing customer & supplier reconciliations and other general accounts receivable/payable transactions and duties within the Finance Dept;
• Processing bank receipts from customers onto the system and related allocations;
• Maintaining the accounts receivable & payable and keeping records and filing up to date;
• Assist in the processing of monthly supplier payment runs;
• Ensuring all month end tasks are complete before closing as part of the finance team;
• Assist with the year-end audit;
• Cover other ad-hoc departmental duties as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in processing transactions on ERP or Accounting systems required.
• Experience in a similar role beneficial.
