Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and variety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times
  • Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy hours
  • Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to prepare dishes
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and safety protocols
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback on menu items and kitchen processes
  • Serve dishes with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service standards

Experience

  • Proven experience as a line cook or culinary professional in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards
  • Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
  • Familiarity with fine dining environments and catering operations enhances your candidacy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Previous kitchen experience involving meal preparation for large groups or special events preferred
  • Skills in menu planning, food presentation, and culinary innovation are highly valued
