The company pride themselves on a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Due to a significant increase in production demand, they are looking for a top-tier MIG Welder to join their expert fabrication team.

The Role

This is a high-volume production role requiring precision, speed, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for fusing metals using MIG welding techniques to create structural components that meet strict ISO quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Welding: Performing high-quality MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminium as per project requirements.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpreting technical drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication plans accurately.
  • Preparation & Finishing: Cutting, grinding, and cleaning materials; ensuring all finished welds are free of defects and meet aesthetic standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting self-inspections of welds and collaborating with the QC department.
  • Efficiency: Working to tight production schedules and maintaining output levels under pressure without sacrificing safety.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment.
  • Certifications: Must hold current welding certifications (e.g., EN ISO 9606-1 or equivalent).
  • Expertise: Mastery of MIG welding techniques, gas settings, and wire feed speeds.
  • Resilience: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily productiontargets.
  • Safety: Valid Manual Handling certificate and a deep commitment to PPE and workshop safety protocols.
  • Eligibility: Must have a valid visa or the legal right to work in Ireland.
