The Role

Bring your dispensing expertise to a hands-on, customer-facing role where your skills actually make a difference.

We’re looking for an experienced Optical Dispenser to join our Newtown team, with occasional support at nearby Sydney stores. You’ll focus on day-to-day dispensing and thoughtful customer care, without sales pressure.

Senior experience is recognised, and remuneration will be discussed early.

Key Responsibilities

• Help customers find frames that fit well and suit their style
• Interpret prescriptions and confidently recommend lenses
• Take precise measurements (PDs and multifocal heights)
• Cut, assemble, fit, and troubleshoot lenses
• Keep orders, files, and stock organised
• Provide attentive, personal customer service
• Contribute to a smooth-running, welcoming store environment

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years of optical dispensing experience
• Enjoys technical dispensing and problem-solving
• Calm, clear, and solutions-focused communication
• Enjoys working in a supportive, friendly team
• Takes pride in their craft and attention to detail
• Loves helping customers and keeping the store running smoothly
