EXPERIENCED SELF LEVELLING FELLING MACHINE OPERATOR
We are looking for a highly experienced Self-Levelling Felling Machine Operator to join a busy, well established forestry crew working across the East Coast and Gisborne and East Coast region. This role is suited to a highly skilled operator who has experience in tethered felling & is confident working on steep terrain and understands the demands of modern mechanised harvesting.
About the Role:
- Operating a self-levelling machine in steep slope forestry
- Carrying out safe and efficient tree felling in line with harvest plans
- Working closely with crew members to maintain production targets
- Setting up tether machine & anchoring to it.
- Operating in challenging terrain & varying weather conditions
- Daily machine checks & basic maintenance
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience operating a self-levelling felling machine
- Strong understanding of steep slope harvesting & forestry safety standards
- Ability to read terrain &make sound operational decisions
- Reliable, hardworking, & team-focused
- High awareness of health & safety

- Must pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test Relevant forestry tickets/qualifications needed.
- Full driver’s license (WTR an advantage)
