Experienced Ultrasound Technician-Per Diem

Under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services or designee, performs diagnostic ultrasound and vascular procedures in an outpatient setting for neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, at a technical level that does not require constant supervision or technical detail. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to perform prescribed ultrasound procedures for diagnostic purposes. Assumes responsibility for efficient operation of all ultrasound equipment and maintains the ability to assist in other areas of diagnostic imaging services.

Per Diem Time Schedule: Varies. Covering two locations Northridge and Downtown LA (Ktown)

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• More than three (3 ) years of experience as a registered sonographer
• Familiarization with ultrasound policies, procedures, and protocols
• Familiarization with accreditation standards, mandates, and regulations
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to HIPAA compliance in the delivery of care
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population demographic

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound technology program from an AMA approved school

LICENSURES/CERTIFICATION:

• Current licensure by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required as either RDMS or RVT
