Eyewear Sales Associate / Optometric Assistant

Are you passionate about eyewear fashion and providing excellent customer service? We're looking for a dynamic and stylish individual to join our team as an Eyewear Sales Associate/Ophthalmic Assistant. This role also includes responsibilities as a receptionist and helping to maintain a clean and welcoming office environment.

Competitive base pay with potential for additional earnings through spiffs (short-term incentives) and commissions based on performance.

Responsibilities

Eyewear Sales:

• Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their style and needs.
• Provide expert advice on frame and lens options.
• Handle transactions and manage inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized display area.

Ophthalmic Assistance:

• Support the optometrist during eye exams and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas.
• Perform basic eye tests and measurements.
• Assist with patient documentation and records.

Reception Duties:

• Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar.
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries professionally.
• Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality.

Office Cleaning:

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the office.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean and well-stocked.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of eyewear trends and fashion.
• Ability to build rapport with customers.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a medical office is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organized.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 19 per week
