Field Project Manager

Job Summary

The Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing renovation and turn projects for both single-family residential (SFR) and multi-family residential (MFR) properties. This role ensures that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget while adhering to strict timelines. The Field Project Manager will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure high-quality renovations that meet specifications. This position is vital in coordinating and leading daily site operations, resolving on-site issues, and ensuring project milestones are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage on-site construction activities for SFR and MFR renovation and turn projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and project requirements.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinate tasks, and ensure timely project completion. This includes scheduling crews, materials delivery, and inspections.
  • Site Inspections: Perform regular on-site inspections to monitor progress, assess workmanship, and address any arising issues, including quality control and safety concerns.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Collaborate with the leadership team to establish and manage project budgets. Track costs and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and resources to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring that all parties are aligned with project objectives and deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or project delays and implement solutions quickly to minimize impact on the project timeline.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the renovation process.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to local building codes, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of project progress, work orders, and documentation using project management software.

Required Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing construction projects, with a focus on SFR and MFR renovations and turn projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of renovation processes, construction materials, and methods, particularly in SFR and MFR environments.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management software and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Budgeting & Scheduling: Proven ability to develop accurate project estimates and maintain tight schedules.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): OSHA certification, PMP certification, or relevant construction management certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,508.00 - $85,038.00 per year
