A bit more about the role
We are actively looking for an experienced Level 2 field engineer to partner with our customer’s internal teams in working on a variety of different projects and provide everyday IT Field and Desktop support to their organisations.
Your role will consist of the following:
- Client facing desktop support working closely with the Service desk to resolve user issues
- Configuring network profiles and windows applications
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and fulfilment of service requests.
- Maintain high user satisfaction through effective communication and support
- Continual service improvement and increased service management maturity
- Scalable support service designed to ensure the seamless transition and success of strategic business programmes.
- Experience working on domain migrations will be highly regarded
You are anything but ordinary and will go the extra mile to support and enhance our customers end users experience with various IT applications, hardware and network.
Skills and Experiences:
Who are we looking for
You will be a Level 2 Field Engineer / Desktop Support with a sense of adventure and a solid operator. Like the rest of our team, you will take pride in your ability to go the extra mile for our customers and have high standards for your work. Our customers look for people who are not afraid to get hands on and in the thick of things to make a real difference for their end users. Naturally, you're technically adept and able to pick up new technologies quickly. And most importantly you are personable and can honestly say that you are considered a ‘go-to person’ which will ensure you connect and are well-liked by the people you work with.
In terms of your technical capabilities, you will ideally have experience in the following technologies:
- Microsoft Office O365 including SharePoint and Azure
- Active Directory Users Groups and group policies
- Windows Server administration knowledge
- SCCM Remote Control Tool and SCCM basics
- Malicious Email Management
- Strong Windows 7 and 10 troubleshooting skills; Active Directory Administration
- Microsoft server environment
- Apple/MacOS environment
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with IT hardware and software systems including desktops, notebooks, printers and LAN/WAN networking and portable devices running various operating systems and cloud systems.
- Good working knowledge of remote administration techniques such as Remote Desktop
