Finance And Accounting Officer

Job Summary

The Finance and Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, bookkeeping, tax compliance, banking activities, branch financial coordination, and internal finance procedures. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely regulatory compliance, effective internal controls, and proper management of company financial resources in support of operational and business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of all company financial transactions.
  • Record, monitor, and organize all cash receipts, disbursements, expenses, collections, and remittances.
  • Track and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and expenses.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, including branch-related collections and remittances.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations for all company accounts.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure proper filing, documentation, and organization of all financial records.

B. Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory Filing

  • Prepare and file all required BIR tax returns and related documents accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and other government requirements.
  • Handle preparation, processing, and renewal of permits, licenses, and registrations with:
  • Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), when applicable
  • Local Government Units (LGUs)
  • Maintain organized records of tax filings, permits, and regulatory documents.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies during audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure timely submission of all regulatory and compliance requirements.

C. Finance Procedures & Internal Controls

  • Develop, implement, and maintain finance procedures, policies, and internal controls.
  • Ensure all financial processes comply with company standards and government regulations.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews to assess the effectiveness of financial systems and procedures.
  • Support management during financial audits and compliance evaluations.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen financial accountability and operational efficiency.

D. Banking & Treasury Management

  • Serve as custodian of the company’s online banking platforms and financial access credentials.
  • Process online transactions including payments, fund transfers, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure security, confidentiality, and proper documentation of all banking activities.
  • Monitor company cash flow and assist in treasury-related activities.

E. Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate regularly with branch partners regarding collections, payments, remittances, and financial concerns.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for branch-related finance and compliance matters.
  • Assist management with operational, administrative, and compliance-related concerns.
  • Coordinate with consultants regarding legal, tax, and compliance matters when necessary.
  • Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, finance, accounting, or compliance functions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of BIR regulations, tax filing procedures, and government compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting or finance-related systems.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Finance and accounting: 1 year (Required)
  • Accounting: 1 year (Required)
  • Tax Compliance: 1 year (Required)
