We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our team. The role involves managing general accounting operations and supporting financial compliance and reporting activities. You will collaborate with internal departments and external providers to ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely financial processes.
How you'll make an impact
- Manage general accounting activities: journal entries, bookkeeping, and fixed assets
- Support month-end closing: account reconciliations and accruals
- Supervise accounting processes handled by external providers (vendor master data, invoices, travel expenses, collections, payments, bank reconciliation)
- Ensure compliance with Italian tax regulations (VAT, withholding taxes)
- Assist in preparing tax returns: periodic VAT settlements, LIPE filings, annual VAT return
- Reconcile vendor aging and resolve discrepancies
- Contact debtors and send payment reminders (phone, email, PEC)
- Monitor collections and reconcile ledger accounts
- Prepare reports on outstanding balances and overdue payments
- Manage payment terms and credit checks for clients and orders
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Improve existing processes and support best practices in finance operations
- Provide accurate and timely reports to support decision-making
- Act as a finance partner across corporate department
Your profile and qualifications:
What sets you up for success
- High school diploma in accounting and/or bachelor’s degree in economics
- Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in multinational or industrial settings
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- English proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Bonus points if you have...
- Experience with SAP systems
- Hands-on involvement in SAP deployment or roll-out initiatives
