Job Summary:
The Finance Associate is an entry-level role that supports the Finance department in handling various accounting and financial tasks. As part of the finance team, you will assist in preparing financial reports, processing transactions, managing data, and ensuring accuracy in financial documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in the finance and accounting field.
Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Support:
Transaction Processing:
- Assist with the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure all invoices, receipts, and financial documents are accurately recorded and categorized.
Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Assist with reconciliations and audits by ensuring proper documentation and data management.
Financial Reporting Support:
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in tracking financial performance metrics and updating financial dashboards.
Administrative Support:
Report Preparation:
- Assist in preparing financial reports for management, highlighting key financial trends and insights.
- Organize and maintain files for easy access to financial data and reports.
Budgeting Assistance:
- Assist the finance team in preparing and monitoring the company’s budget.
- Help track departmental spending and report discrepancies.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations by maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with preparing tax documentation and support annual tax filing processes.
Documentation Management:
- Assist in maintaining and organizing financial documents in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
To succeed as a Finance Associate, we’re looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (knowledge of accounting software is a plus).
- Strong ability to organize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly and contribute to the team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
