Finance Director with a Financial Institution

• Min 18+ years of finance experience, some of which is gained in the FI sector. Has experience dealing with MAS regulations/report requirements
• Strong finance all-rounder with relevant treasury (covering multi-currency issues) and tax (covering corporate tax, transfer pricing) experience
• Hands-on experience doing finance transformation work is required

Our client is a growing firm in the FI industry. This is a hands-on Head of Finance role managing a lean team and reporting to the global head of finance(based in global HQ) and the Regional CEO (based in Singapore)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for supporting and overseeing financial accounting, reporting including consolidation of the group and liquidity management.
• Prepare/present Management reports and presentation deck to Management, Audit Com and Board.
• Ensure MAS regulated entity set of accounts are managed and kept in accordance regulatory requirements
• Work on treasury matters (including dealing with multi currencies).
• Involved on tax matters relating to corporate tax and transfer pricing
• Spearhead and implement finance transformation and system implementation projects.
• Work on other strategic finance matters with Global Head of Finance

QUALIFICATIONS/ ACADEMIC BACKGROUND/ SKILLS

• A CA/CPA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related field
• Min 18+ years of finance experience, some of which is gained in the FI or commodity trading sector
• Knowledge of MAS regulations/reporting is required
• Strong finance all-rounder with relevant treasury (covering multi-currency issues) and tax (covering corporate tax, transfer pricing) experience
• Hands-on experience doing finance transformation work is required
• Prior experience doing a start-up finance role is useful. Or you have hands-on experience improving processes, doing transformation work and introducing more structure to the finance team
• Experience working with an accounting shared service/outsourced set up is beneficial (but this is not a must)
• Very hands-on despite being senior
• Driven, agile/adaptable, meticulous and flexible.
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Possess strong people skills and team management skills
• Oracle systems exposure is useful but not a must
