Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

Ensure the Company carries out their financial activities in accordance with regulatory and legislative guidance.

Ensuring monthly management accounts and financial reporting is completed accurately and in accordance with reporting timetables.

Provide leadership, support and development of the finance team.

Participate in business initiatives to drive business performance.

DHS Complete Hire has been in business for over 30 years and part of the O'Flaherty Holdings which is one of Ireland's largest family business groups. It has a significant automotive business, Including Motor Distributors Ltd and Motor Services Ltd, which have been in operation since the 1940's.

As part of its diversification strategy the Group entered the UK plant hire market through the acquisition of MPH in 2014. Through AER Rents the Group has continued to expand in the hire market in the UK and Ireland with the subsequent acquisitions of DHS Complete Hire, Mainline Group, Welfare 4 Hire, Chippindale Plant and Hudson Lifting.

Key skills & duties
1. Month end-preparation of financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet focus), together with relevant variance analysis. Revenue returns and reporting requirements. Maintaining and developing asset register.

2. Guiding & supervising working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts. Ownership of reporting to various external stakeholders e.g. lenders, banks.

3. Leadership, development of the finance team, including recruitment and succession planning. Oversee the processing of the accounts receivable and payable, with responsibility for timely cash collections and effective payment management and to ensure customer service standards are excellent.

4. Support the senior management team and company through process and procedure review across all aspects of the company, identifying technology and platform efficiencies and drive automation of SOP’s within the existing ERP platforms.

5. Pro-actively participate in planning sessions, forecasts and annual Budget exercise.

6. To act as a general supporting resource to the Managing Director in ensuring that the accounting and financial control measures adopted by the company are of an acceptably high standard.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree and /or postgraduate qualification or similar, or on the final year of qualification or certification.
Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in a professional finance-related environment
Qualified member of Accountancy body – (ACCA/ CIMA)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating at a Finance Manager level.
Demonstrable experience of managing a team.
Demonstrable experience in process and procedures review and the integration of information technology solutions and improvements.
