Finance Manager

Access World is a global commodities warehousing and freight forwarding company including logistics business. Active in more than 30 countries, we offer complete logistics, storage and supply chain solutions, tailor-made to our customer requirements for various commodities including metals and minerals, soft commodities, chemicals, renewables, oil & gas, project and general cargo. We are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange (LME) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), and we provide warehousing and associated logistics and value-added service to traders, producers, financiers and consumers of non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys and minor metals etc. Our worldwide offices and operations span across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe & Middle East, and US. Each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including Commercial, Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, Customer Service, and Operations.

Duties will include but not limiting to:

• Oversee full spectrum of the accounting, financial and treasury functions for legal entities in Singapore
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and submissions of the financial reporting pack to the SEA office
• Act as a business partner, to develop good domain knowledge of the business and play an active role to provide financial insights and advice to business function teams and the Management
• Provide reporting and analysis to steer business performance and cost management
• Lead initiative to review and streamline financial controls and processes, for work effectiveness and good corporate governance
• Participate actively and coordinate business/users’ requirements for ERP implementation & improvements
• Coach and ensure continuous learning of the finance team to support evolving needs of the business
• Support SEA Regional/Group Treasury and Tax functions
• Reinforce Access World Group culture, values, and reputation
• Ensure compliance with Access World Group Policies
• Other duties as assigned by the Superior
• Travelling required

Potential candidates should possess the following attributes:

• A degree from a local or an internationally recognized University with majors in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration
• Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Finance department of a multinational company
• Able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion
• Responsible, self-driven, independent
• Good attention to detail and excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Courage to propose solutions and ensure follow-through on the execution
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
• Excellent team player and leader who is energetic, work well under pressure, and able to meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work on cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of the international accounting and tax standards
• Preferred:
  • Experience in the logistics sector
  • Experience with M&A projects
  • Excellence in Microsoft Office
  • Effective stakeholders’ management
  • Knowledge of Oracle or equivalent ERP system is an added advantage
