Location: Pasig City, Philippines
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Full-Time
Position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Process and record all payments, receipts, reimbursements, and journal entries in compliance with AGCI financial policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in AGCI’s accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks or equivalent).
- Ensure all transactions are properly coded, supported by valid documentation, and authorized before processing.
- Prepare and monitor cash disbursement vouchers, petty cash replenishments, and check/online payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts balance.
- Track and verify all program expenditures against approved budgets.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and asset ledgers.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Support the Executive Director in preparing monthly and quarterly budget reports.
- Monitor expenditure patterns and alert the Executive Director of potential overspending or underutilization.
- Assist program staff in tracking activity-level budgets, ensuring expenditures are within scope.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly financial reports and submit them to the Executive Director for review and consolidation.
- Support in generating donor-specific or project-based financial reports as required.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, Withholding Taxes, VAT, etc.) in coordination with the Executive.
- Assist with documentation and preparation for internal and external audits.
Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work closely with the Executive Director, program leads, and administrative staff to ensure smooth coordination of financial and operational activities.
- Uphold AGCI’s culture of integrity, transparency, and collaboration.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in an NGO or social service organization.
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Knowledge of Philippine taxation, statutory reporting, and compliance requirements.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Tagalog.
- Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential financial data.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
