About the opportunity

The Finance Specialist – Master Data & Governance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of key financial and operational master data within the organization. This role manages and governs master data, maintains pricing and cost information, and supports operational and local finance requirements. The Finance Specialist ensures that master data aligns with business needs, internal policies, and governance standards, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Your Role and Impact

  • Maintain and govern Chart of Accounts, Customer Master, Supplier Master, and Item Master local data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and local regulations
  • Maintain and govern ICP (Intercompany Pricing) across different entities to ensure consistency between official ICP and local application
  • Maintain purchase pricelists and ensure alignment with approved agreements and contracts
  • Support standard cost calculation for products and services, ensuring accuracy in cost accounting and reporting
  • Maintain sales pricelists and validate alignment with pricing policies and commercial agreements
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies and issues, coordinating with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with operational, commercial, and finance teams to ensure master data supports business needs and compliance requirements
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to master data management, pricing, and cost control
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on master data quality, exceptions, and local compliance for finance leadership
  • Ensure systems are aligned with key master data to enable consolidated, efficient, and accurate reporting views for management and operational teams
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations related to master data and pricing

Your eligibility

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar and fluent in English
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or master data management
  • Experience in maintaining Customer, Supplier, and Item master data, pricing, and cost management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor) and Microsoft Office applications, including tools for data management and analysis
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Must be highly accurate and timely
  • Good communication skills – able to train others in simple processes such as expense reporting
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Team player with problem solving skills
  • Understanding internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit processes
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, perform mass updates, and conduct data analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Prior experience in a shared services role supporting other countries is a plus
  • Work location will be Yokohama TWS Lanka (Private) Limited – Makola
